i began this day radical.
stayed up til 5am just to ring it in like a kid does christmas.
i looked forward to it//anticipated its arrival//felt its presence for the first time.
MLK Day….the only official NEGRO day.
i revert back to NEGRO because post-era AA’s or Blacks lack pride.
NEGRO is my last remembrance.
few are educated to carry on the mission//less acknowledge its existance
overt racism + what MLK battled.
covert racism + what I battle.
the battle has been won//a new battle ensues//the war is not over
i am angry.
my soul burns from welts left from stinging whips of oppression dealt……covertly
i feel crazy//i feel lonely//i feel ignored
symptoms of a victim of covert racism//check-mark/strikethrough/period
standby for transmission.
you have not heard the last from me.
